Celebrating Christmas

We painted the nursery "pink peony" and Bob put together Abby Jane's crib and dresser/changing table.

A reason for thanks...

Today was an amazing day as we had our ultrasound to learn our baby's gender. First of all, let me say that we heard and saw the heartbeat and found out that baby Weaver is healthy and growing just as scheduled. Baby Weaver is 10 ounces and everything is right on schedule for the April 11 delivery date!! We are so thankful to God for his protection and blessing.

As far as the gender, we are keeping that a secret until Thanksgiving Day. We will be telling family and updating our blog with the news of boy/girl...

Hope that this finds all doing well - we would love to hear from you!

Week 19: Little Flutters....

In my 17th week, I came home from work one day and was sitting on the couch when I felt little bubbles popping up in my tummy. There were about 3 in a row. Very gentle! I called Bob with the news. He wanted to know when he could feel it too and I said I thought it would be a while :)
Now, at 19 weeks, I get them throughout the day and night and LOVE it! Such a sweet reminder of the Lord's miracle in me.

Week 18: Family OBX trip

Baby Weaver took his/her first family road trip to the Outer Banks last weekend to support dad as he ran the OBX marathon. Laurel and baby were an awesome support group, dropping me at the start, cheering me as I began, chatting on the phone with me while I ran and cheering me to the finish! Here are a couple of pictures - I also took some pictures during my run and they will be posted soon - maybe even some video I shot of the finish.

We really enjoyed our time with the Uitz family as they came down from Northern Virginia. Mary rocked the 1/2 marathon with ease - great job Mary!!

Baby Weaver continues to grow and is now moving around and checking out the surroundings. We are excited for our ultrasound on November 20th to learn the gender! Thanksgiving Day we will share with everyone the gender of Baby Weaver on this blog :)

Hope everyone is doing well - we look forward to hearing from you!

Energy levels are coming back and I am so excited to be able to do fun things again instead of trying not to get sick full time :)
Long walks with Reilly and Gloria help tons!
Love to all.

11 weeks today!!

Today marks week 11 in our journey! It is going to be a beautiful day here in Virginia - sunny and a high of 75 degrees. Last night we enjoyed a perfect September evening in Virginia by going to a high school football game and watched the #1 team in the state, Brookville, roll to a 49-34 victory.

We are enjoying the journey and look forward to each day. The nausea, at times, is diminishing and we look forward to it disappearing completely! Thursday September 25 we have a doctors' appointment and will update things then.

Thank you to each of you for following along with us - we would love to hear from you! You can post a comment on this blog. There used to be a restriction requiring that you join but that has been removed so jump on in!!

Have a great week,
Bob & Laurel
